Meet Laura

It's all go in the workshop at the moment - so much so we've decided to hire another member of the team to help us make all the gorgeous jewellery.

So everyone - meet Laura.

We sat down with her to learn a little bit more about her.

What is current role at Celina Rupps?

I'm mainly based in the workshop making jewellery.

Where have you come from?

I attended a silversmithing night class while I was at school, making pieces for my Higher Art and Design folio. Celina then offered me the chance to make a bespoke piece for my cousin's 21st birthday. Since, I have worked for Sheila Fleet Jewellery and Ortak; as an enameller, benchworker and designer.

What's your go to drink from the Barrier View Cafe?

My go to is a Caramel Latte. Yum

What's your favourite part of the jewellery making process?

I love seeing new collections come to life! I've always been really interested in the creative process, taking an idea and turning it into a physical piece gives me such a buzz.

What's your favourite piece from a collection?

My wishlist is growing every day, but my favourite has to be the Anchor pendant from the newest collection, Anchor's Haven.

What are you looking forward to learning about in your role?

I'm looking forward to learning more about the casting process and building upon my current skills

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

I have a 3 year old daughter, so my spare time is spent with her. We love going on adventures, searching for sea treasures, drawing and making bonny things with whatever we find
